NEET Counseling 2020: Admission in mop up round, reporting deadline will end tomorrow

NEET Mopup Round Reporting 2020: Relief news for students left out of reporting in college allotted for admission to MBBS and BDS college. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for NEET counseling mop up round reporting to 29 December.

The final result of MOP round admission was announced on the official website mcc.nic.in on 17 December. Subsequently, the candidates were to report to the allotted college from 18 to 26 December.

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has extended the MOP-up round reporting deadline of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) from 2020 to 29 December. All eligible candidates can report to their allotted college by 6 pm tomorrow. This decision has been taken after some candidates cited difficulties in traveling to their allotted MBBS institutes in different cities. Earlier, medical candidates selected in NEET Mop Up Counseling round were to attend colleges by 26 December.

To check the allotted colleges concerned, candidates can visit the official website ntaneet.nic.in. They can check their college or institute using their NEET 2020 application number and roll number. MOP rounds were organized to fill the vacant seats for MBBS / BDS programs, including Employees State Insurance Corporation Medical College and Hospital (ESIC), Faridabad, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jawaharlal Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Huh. Central Universities including Puducherry (JIPMER).

What is Mop Up Round?

Mop up rounds are only to fill seats that were not completed in the first two rounds. Despite being a resident of any state, eligible candidates can participate in the round up on the vacant seats reserved in the states through a 15 percent quota.

Who are eligible for admission?

Round up rounds can include all the candidates who have passed NEET 2020 entrance exam. Also, those who have failed to get admission in the preferred college during the previous counseling process.
