The Odisha government has decided to provide reservation in the engineering and medical colleges of the state to the students of its government schools. To encourage the children of the state government-run schools to pass the engineering and medical entrance exam, some seats in engineering and medical colleges will be reserved for them. The proposal was approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
