Apple has updated the widgets on their macOS Sonoma, allowing users to add them directly to the desktop and making basic information such as weather, calendar and to-do lists instantly accessible. Users can drag and drop widgets anywhere on their desktop, and the updated widgets behave similar to iOS widgets and can be interacted with, allowing users to turn on and off smart home devices. iPhone-only widgets are also available on macOS Sonoma if both devices are linked to the same Apple ID. The public beta version is currently available for users to download.
