IITs see lowest enrolment for doctoral programmes

Multiple schools at various IITs have recorded their lowest candidate applications for the doctoral programmes. The downward trajectory of interest in the PhD started in 2021, but is most pronounced now, worrying academicians across India’s best STEM colleges, who say the trend is becoming an established one.
