Israel-Hamas war: EU reminds Google CEO of ‘YouTube’s obligation’

The European Union (EU) has reminded Google CEO Sundar Pichai of the company's obligations regarding content moderation on YouTube. In a letter, the EU Commissioner emphasised the need for strict compliance with the EU Digital Services Act, particularly in relation to the dissemination of illegal content and disinformation. The Commissioner also highlighted the responsibility to protect children and teenagers from violent content.
