Qualcomm launches Snapdragon X Elite CPUs for PCs, rivals Apple’s M series chipsets

Qualcomm has introduced its new computing processor, the Snapdragon X Elite, featuring the Oryon CPU. The processor offers on-device AI inference and is designed for powerful productivity and immersive entertainment experiences on the go. It boasts 12 cores, clocked at up to 3.8GHz with a boost of 4.3GHz, and claims to offer 2x faster CPU performance and one-third of the power consumption compared to a 10-core laptop CPU. The Snapdragon X Elite also includes AI features, intelligent security measures, a built-in 5G modem, and support for Wi-Fi 7.
