What Google has to say on deepfakes, responsible AI development in India

Google India will collaborate with the government and industry stakeholders to develop safeguards against deepfakes. They will share expertise in responsible AI development and tools to address associated risks. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted deepfakes as a threat to democracy and announced the government's plan to draft new regulations. Deepfakes, created using AI tools, can manipulate information convincingly.
