In a long-standing dispute, Apple is expected to face a ban on its App Store rules and a potential hefty fine from EU regulators. The ban would prevent Apple from blocking music services from using alternative subscription options for in-app transactions. The decision, set for early next year, may also result in a fine of up to 10% of Apple's annual sales. This case stems from Spotify's complaint that Apple favored its own music streaming app and violated EU competition laws with its App Store rules. Apple prohibits developers from offering alternate payment options.
