Cybersecurity firm CloudSEK claims hackers are selling a 1.8TB database with details of 750 million Indian mobile consumers on the dark web. The Department of Telecom (DoT) has asked operators to conduct security audits in response to the claims. The hacker denies involvement and says the data was obtained through undisclosed means. CloudSEK's report states that the database contains names, mobile numbers, addresses, and Aadhaar details. The breach was discovered on January 23 and the threat actor is demanding $3,000 for the dataset.
