Delhi schools continue classes amidst alarming heat wave: DoE issues circular asking them to close for summer vacation immediately

The Delhi government had scheduled early summer vacations for all schools from May 11 to June 30 due to a severe heatwave. Despite this, some private and government-aided schools remained open, prompting the government to issue a circular, instructing their immediate closure. The heatwave is expected to remain for a week, leading to similar measures in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and other affected regions.
