NFAP report shows H-1B decline for Indian firms: Here’s why US tech giants are dominating approvals

H-1B visa approvals for Indian companies have plunged, with only three firms among the top 25 employers in FY25, according to NFAP data. US tech giants such as Amazon, Meta, Microsoft and Google dominate new hires, reflecting shifting trends in high-skilled foreign employment. Denial rates remain low, but proposed $100,000 fees and legislative changes, including a bill to phase out the H-1B programme, have raised concerns among employers and policymakers about US competitiveness in technology and AI.
