Meet the IIT Bombay graduate who rejected an ISRO job to build a Rs 1,000 crore startup

Manoj Meena rejected an ISRO offer to pursue engineering that solved real problems. He and Sibabrata Das founded Atomberg Technologies in 2012, initially taking on diverse engineering projects. After four years, they focused on energy-efficient BLDC motor fans, launching the Gorilla brand in 2015. The company faced investor doubt and near bankruptcy before securing crucial funding in 2019. Atomberg then expanded into smart appliances, achieving significant revenue and recognition.
