Google may rename Bard AI chatbot, release its ‘largest and most capable model’ next week

Google plans to rebrand its generative AI chatbot 'Bard' to 'Gemini' and launch Bard Advanced powered by Gemini Ultra. Dylan Roussel, an Android app developer, hinted at the rebranding. The changelog leak suggests the introduction of an 'Advanced' tier powered by Gemini Ultra, rivaling OpenAI's GPT-4. Bard Advanced will be available through a subscription. Google's large language model, Gemini Ultra, can handle tasks like reasoning, coding, and creative collaboration. The changelog also mentions the upcoming Gemini app for Android, integrating Google services like Gmail and Maps. iOS users can access Gemini through the Google app.
